12 14 525 Replacing sensor for cylinder recognition (camshaft sensor) (M73)

1. Switch off ignition.

Remove distributor cap with left ignition wiring harness,

refer to 12 11 096 REPLACING LEFT DISTRIBUTOR CAP (M73) 

Unscrew bolt (1). Remove sensor.

Installation: 

1. Check seal (1) for damage, replace if damaged. To facilitate assembly coat seal with anti-friction agent.
2. Interrogate fault memory of control unit on Digital Motor Electronics (DME), check fault messages in memory, rectify faults and cancel fault memory.
