Adjusting Camshaft Timing

Before carrying out adjustment, camshaft timing must be checked. See CHECKING TIMING .

NOTE: Timing case cover must be removed when tightening bolt on sprocket wheel. Timing case cover and timing case share a gasket in lower section. This must be replaced before reassembly. Timing case must be removed before gasket can be replaced.
