Removal & Installation
- Raise vehicle and remove rear wheels.
- Remove rear disc. See BRAKE DISCS
.
- Disconnect lower return spring with a brake spring pliers. See Fig 1
.
- Turn spring retainers 90° with special tool 34 4 000 and disconnect. See Fig 2
.
- Pull brake shoes apart at bottom and lift upward to remove.
- To install, reverse removal procedure. Check return spring and replace if necessary.
- Adjust parking brake shoes. See PARKING BRAKE
