Outer Rear Three-Point Seat Belt, Removing And Installing: Removing
-- Move the front seats all the way forward.
-- Remove the outer rear belt end fitting. Refer to OUTER REAR BELT END FITTING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Fold the rear seat backrest forward.
-- Remove the side cushion. Refer to OVERVIEW - COVER AND CUSHION .
-- Remove the center C-pillar trim panel. Refer to C-PILLAR CENTER TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Unclip the C-pillar lower trim panel -1- from the C-pillar in direction of -arrows- by hand or using the trim removal wedge no. 7 from the Scraper Set:VAS 6845 .
-- Push the C-pillar trim panel to the side.
-- Disengage and remove the noise insulation -1-.
-- Unclip and remove the seat belt guide -2- from the seat belt relay.
Pyrotechnical components can deploy unintentionally.
Risk of injury.
- Discharge the static electricity: quickly touch the door striker.
-- Disconnect the connector -3- for the seat belt tensioner igniter.
-- Remove the bolt -1-.
-- Push the three-point seat belt -4- toward the top and disengage the anti-twist mechanism from the mount.
-- Guide out the seat belt webbing with buckle tongue and the belt end fitting at the seat belt relay -2-.
