Head Curtain Airbag With Igniter, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Lower the headliner. Refer to Headliner, Lowering .

-- Remove the bolt -arrow- for the head curtain airbag hook -1- from the A-pillar, as shown in the example.

-- Unclip the head curtain airbag clips -1- from the body using Clip Pliers:VAS 211 001  -2-.

-- Do this by guiding the plier tips into the openings, press the clip catches for the head curtain airbag together and remove the clip.

-- Disconnect the connector -3- from the head curtain airbag igniter -2-.

-- Remove the bolts -1-.

-- Remove the head curtain airbag from the front mount -arrow B-.

-- Push the head curtain airbag toward the rear from the mount -arrow A- on the body and remove.
