Driver/Front Passenger Side Rear Thorax Airbag Crash Sensor G256/G257, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Detach the C-pillar center trim panel (refer to C-PILLAR CENTER TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING ) and move to the side with the seat belt.

-- Remove the side cushion. Refer to OVERVIEW - COVER AND CUSHION .

-- Unclip the C-pillar lower trim panel -1- from the C-pillar in direction of -arrows- by hand or using the trim removal wedge no. 7 from the Scraper Set:VAS 6845  .

-- Push the C-pillar trim panel to the side.

-- Remove the nut -1-.

-- Remove the thorax airbag crash sensor -2- from the body and disconnect the connector -3-.

-- To do this pull out the connector lock -2-, push down in direction of -arrow-, and disconnect the connector -1- on the crash sensor.
