Rear Glass Panel, Removing And Installing, A6 AVANT: Installing

-- Prepare the new rear glass panel for installation. Refer to NEW REAR GLASS PANEL, PREPARING FOR INSTALLATION .

Only use Adhesive Remover to clean the rear glass panel.

-- Prepare the body flange for installation. Refer to BODY FLANGE, PREPARING FOR INSTALLATION .

-- Apply the adhesive. Refer to Adhesive Application: .

-- Insert the glass panel into the roof opening.

The sealing lip on the glass panel cover profile must rest against the rear body and it must face upward.

-- Center the glass panel.

The glass panel must rest centrally between the roof pillars.
Check or correct installation dimensions. Refer to GLASS PANEL, ADJUSTING .

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

Observe minimum curing times. Refer to MINIMUM CURING TIME FOR BONDED SLIDING SUNROOF .

-- Perform an adaptation. Refer to Sunroof Shade Motor 2 -V583-, PROGRAMMING .
