If the Release Button in Rear Lid Handle -E234- is being replaced, then perform the test plan for replacing the control module.

-- Perform the "Replace control module" function using the => Vehicle Diagnostic Tester . Refer to DIAGNOSTIC ENTRIES .

-- Remove the rear lid lower trim panel. Refer to REAR LID LOWER TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Disconnect the connector -2-.

-- Release the retainers -arrows-.

-- Disengage the support bracket -1-.

-- Release the release cable nipple -4- from the operating lever -3-.

-- Pull the fuses -1-.
