Cover And Cushion, Separating From Seat Pan, A3

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

• Upholstery Clip Pliers:VAG1634

• The following components must be replaced after removal. Refer to OVERVIEW - SEAT PAN COVER AND CUSHION .

Removing

-- Remove the cover and cushion. Refer to SEAT PAN COVER AND CUSHION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the cover -2- from the cushion -1- and cut upholstery clips -arrows- using pliers.

-- Cut through the remaining upholstery clips.

Sport Seat:

-- Disengage the rear clamping strip on the cover from the seat depth adjuster.

-- Pull the support -1- all the way out in direction of -arrows-.

-- Release the catches -2- and remove the support from the cushion base -3-.

-- If equipped, thread the wire through.

-- Disengage the cover contour wire -arrows- from the hooks -1-.

-- Disengage the front clamping strip -3- on the cover from the baseplate.

-- Unclip the clips -2- for the seat depth adjuster cushion -4- from the baseplate -5-.
