Steering Gear, Removing And Installing: Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:
-- Attach the steering gear -1- to the subframe.
- The steering gear threaded sleeves -2- must be inserted into the subframe holes -arrow-.
-- Position the steering gear bolts.
- Make sure they are not damaged and the seal is not twisted.
-- Install the subframe with the steering gear. Refer to SUBFRAME WITH STEERING GEAR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- If the steering gear is replaced, the Power Steering Control Module -J500- must be activated to do so select the "replacing" function in the "Guided Functions" using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
- After installing the old or a new steering gear perform the basic setting for the Steering Angle Sensor -G85-, use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester Refer to Steering Angle Sensor -G85- BASIC SETTING .
