Washer Nozzle, Adjusting

-- Adjusting spray nozzles for windshield washer system:

• A6: Maintenance; Windshield Washer System: Checking Spray Pattern and Adjusting if Necessary.
• A7 Sportback: Maintenance; Windshield Washer System: Checking Spray Pattern and Adjusting if Necessary.

-- Clean the dirty washer nozzle if the spray field does not match the specifications.

-- Remove the spray nozzle. Refer to appropriate Service Information .

Washer Nozzle in Windshield Wiper Arm

-- Refer to Windshield Wiper, Bringing into Service Position  .

-- Slide the service cover -1- toward the rear -arrow- and remove it.

-- Free up the washer fluid hoses -3- and -4-.

-- Release the retainers and disconnect the washer fluid hoses -1- and -2- at the connection points.

-- Rinse the washer nozzle with clean water opposite the spray direction.

-- To remove any remaining contaminants, the washer nozzle may only be blown out with compressed air in the opposite direction of the spray direction.

-- If the spray field still does not match the specifications, replace the washer nozzle, respectively the windshield wiper arm.
