Main Fuse Panel On Battery A, Removing And Installing: Removing
Vehicles with 48V System (VH2/VH3)
The 12 V system is supported by the 48 V system via the Voltage Converter, 48 V/12 V -A7-. So the only way for the 12V vehicle electrical system to be de-energized is to de-energize the 48V system beforehand.

Vehicles without 48V System (VH0)
-- Disconnect the battery. Refer to Battery A, Disconnecting and Connecting .
Continuation for all vehicles
-- Remove the luggage compartment side trim panel. Refer to LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT SIDE TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, VEHICLES WITHOUT HIGH-VOLTAGE SYSTEM .
-- Loosen and detach the securing strap -2-.
-- Remove the nut -4-.
-- Remove the bolt -1-.
-- Remove the battery bracket -3-.
Vehicles with 48V System (VH2/VH3)
-- Free up the positive cable -2- to the voltage converter.
-- Pull the battery -1- out -arrow- until the terminal clamps are accessible.
-- Loosen the nut -4- and remove the Battery Monitoring Control Module -J367- -3-.
-- Remove the cover -7- over the battery positive terminal.
-- Loosen the nut -6- and disconnect the main fuse panel -5-.
Continuation for all vehicles
Vehicles without 48V System (VH0)
-- Pull the battery -1- out -arrow- until the terminal clamp is accessible.
-- Remove the cover -5- over the battery positive terminal.
-- Loosen the nut -4- and disconnect the main fuse panel -3-.
Continuation for all vehicles
-- Release the catch and open the flap above the main fuse panel -3-.
-- Remove the wires -1-, -2- and -4- through -7-.
-- Release the latches and open the flap -3- -arrow-.
-- Disconnect the connector -1- from the cut-off relay -2-.
-- Remove the main fuse panel.
-- Remove the battery interrupt igniter. Refer to BATTERY INTERRUPT IGNITER, 48 VOLT, N751, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
