Battery A, Disconnecting And Connecting

Disconnecting
-- Lift the luggage compartment floor cover.
A6 Avant, A6 allroad
-- Remove the dirt tray.
Continuation for all vehicles
-- If installed, remove the spare tire and vehicle tool kit mount.
-- Loosen the nut -1- and remove the Battery Monitoring Control Module -J367- -2-.
Connecting
-- Disconnect the connector -2-.
-- Connect the control module -3- to the battery negative terminal "-".
-- Tighten the nut -1-.
-- Connect the connector -2-.
If the battery was reconnected, the following steps must be performed:
- Activate the power window regulator one-touch up/down function. Refer to the Owner's Manual.
- Check DTC memories of all control modules and delete the displayed entry "Undervoltage" using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester .
Tip
After reconnecting the power supply, the ESP warning lamp can only go out after the vehicle has been driven a few meters.
