Brake System Pressure Reservoir -VX70-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING: Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:

CAUTION:

Faulty brakes increase the risk of an accident.

- The pressure reservoir must not run empty before reinstalling. Close the connection points with plugs.

-- Pre-bleed the new Brake System Pressure Reservoir -VX70- before installing. Refer to Brake System Pressure Reservoir -VX70-, PRE-BLEEDING .

CAUTION:

Faulty brakes increase the risk of an accident.

- The pressure reservoir must not run empty during further installation.

-- Slide the pressure reservoir onto the retaining pin and secure with clamps.

-- Install the brake line and connect the connector.

-- Remove the Brake Pedal Actuator:V.A.G 1869/2  .

-- Bleed the brake system. Refer to HYDRAULIC SYSTEM, BLEEDING .

-- Remove all cloths from the vehicle that were previously placed down.

-- Install the windshield wiper motor. Refer to WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR V, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Install the plenum chamber cover. Refer to PLENUM CHAMBER COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- After replacing the pressure reservoir, complete the "Brake system pressure reservoir, replacing" program using the Vehicle Dianostic Tool.

CAUTION:

Faulty brakes increase the risk of an accident.

- Make sure the brakes are working correctly before driving the vehicle for the first time.
