Left Front Body Acceleration Sensor -G341- /Right Front Body Acceleration Sensor -G342-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING
Remove the Left Front Body Acceleration Sensor -G341-.
-- Clip the cap -1- in the plenum chamber cover using a flat-head screwdriver.
-- Mark the installation position for reinstallation with for example a felt-tip pen.
-- Remove the bolt -2-.
-- Remove the body acceleration sensor -3- and disconnect the connector -4-.
Remove the Right Front Body Acceleration Sensor -G342-.
-- Remove the plenum chamber cover seal -2-. Refer to PLENUM CHAMBER COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Slightly lift the plenum chamber cover -1-.
-- Disconnect the connector -3-.
-- Mark the installation position for reinstallation with for example a felt-tip pen.
-- Remove the bolt -4- and remove the body acceleration sensor -5-.
Installing
Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:
- Do not interchange the front body acceleration sensor with the rear body acceleration sensor; Refer to the Parts Information for the allocation.
Left Front Body Acceleration Sensor -G341- Installation Position:
-- Align the Left Front Body Acceleration Sensor -- -1- so that the connector connection -arrow- faces opposite the direction of travel.
- The installation position of the body acceleration sensor may not be different from the angle -a- of the vehicle lengthwise.
- Angle -a- = ±12°.
Right Front Body Acceleration Sensor -G342- Installation position:
-- Align the Right Front Body Acceleration Sensor -- -1- to the bolt -arrow- so that the connection off the connector points opposite the direction of travel approximately 45° lengthwise inward.
- The installation position of the body acceleration sensor may not be different from the angle -a- from the 45° position to the vehicle lengthwise.
- Angle -a- = ±12°.
