Rear Lid Tail Lamp, Removing And Installing

-- Switch off the ignition. Place the vehicle key and other start authorization systems (such as smartphones) outside of the vehicle interior.

-- Turn the light switch off.

-- Remove the rear lid lower trim panel. Refer to REAR LID LOWER TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, STANDARD .

-- Position a narrow screwdriver -3- at the opening and remove the cover -1- from the tail lamp. Refer to  REAR LID TAIL LAMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING.

-- Remove the cover -1- forward -arrow-.

-- Disconnect the connector -2-.

-- Remove the nuts -arrows- on both sides.

-- Remove the tail lamp assembly -1-.

Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:

-- Check the self-adhesive seal -2- and -3- on the tail lamp -1- for damage.

Conditions

• A damaged or incorrectly attached seal must be replaced.

Tightening Specifications

• Refer to Overview - Rear Lid Tail Lamps  .
