Electric Drive Control Module On Front Axle J1234, Removing And Installing: Installing
Install in reverse order of removal and note the following:
Condition
- Replace the sealing element.
- Replace the coolant connection with O-rings.
- Replace the cover for the high-voltage cables.
- Always replace a removed clip for noise insulation on the motor.
- Used coolant cannot be used again.
-- Coat the O-rings for the coolant connections with coolant and insert them into the motor until they stop.
-- Connect the sealing element for installation to the electric drive control module.
-- Attach the electric drive control module onto the motor and tighten the bolts.
-- Tighten the bolts -arrows-.
-- Install the new high-voltage cables cap and tighten the bolts -1- through -6-.
-- After installing the high-voltage components or potential equalization cables a potential equalization measurement must be performed on the corresponding high-voltage components. Refer to Potential Equalization Measurement .
-- Refer to FILLING AND BLEEDING THE COOLANT .
High voltage increases the risk of fatal injury
Electrocution can cause severe bodily or fatal injury.
- Have a high-voltage technician or an high-voltage expert bring the high-voltage system back into service.
-- Refer to High-Voltage System, Re-Energizing .
If the Electric Drive Control Module on Front Axle -J1234- was replaced, the test plan for replacing the control module must be completed.
-- Complete the "Control module, replacing" function with the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester . Refer to Diagnostic Entries .
