Bumper Cover, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the lock carrier cover. Refer to LOCK CARRIER COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.

-- Loosen the front wheel cover in the area of the bumper side section. Refer to Refer to WHEEL COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, FRONT .

-- Remove the bumper cover end plate. Refer to BUMPER COVER END PLATE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

Equipped on some models, left washer fluid reservoir:

-- Remove the wheel housing liner. Refer to OVERVIEW - FRONT WHEEL HOUSING LINER .

-- Place a drip tray under the coupling point for the washer fluid hose.

-- Remove the water drain hose -3- from the headlamp washer pump to do this push the release buttons.

-- Seal the hose coupling with clean plugs from the Engine Bung Set :VAS 6122  .

Equipped on some models, right washer fluid reservoir:

-- Remove the wheel housing liner. Refer to OVERVIEW - FRONT WHEEL HOUSING LINER .

-- Place a drip tray under the coupling point for the washer fluid hose.

-- Disconnect the coolant hose -1- for the headlamp washer system, to do so press the release buttons -2-.

-- Free up the washer fluid hose.

-- Seal the hose coupling with clean plugs from the Engine Bung Set :VAS 6122  .

-- Loosen the wheel housing liner from the retainer in the bumper cover area. Refer to Refer to OVERVIEW - FRONT WHEEL HOUSING LINER .

-- Remove the bolt -arrow-.

-- Disconnect the central connector -2- and antenna wire -1-.

-- Remove the bolts -1 and 2-.

-- Disengage the side section -2- from the side panel -arrow A- and remove the bumper cover -1- toward the front with the help of a second technician -arrow B-.

-- Lay the bumper cover on a soft surface.
