Battery, 48 V -A6-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, 0K4: Removing
-- De-energize the 48V system and disconnect the Battery -A-. Refer to Battery -A-, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING, 0K4 .
-- Remove the luggage compartment floor.
-- Remove the vehicle tool kit storage compartment. Refer to OVERVIEW - LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR .
-- Lift the tab -4- and push the air duct -3- to the left side and remove it upward, at the same time free up the exhaust on the air ducts on the protective housing -1-, on the connection from the voltage Converter -2- and on the air duct -5-.
-- Push the air duct -3- to the right side and remove it upward, at the same time free up the air ducts on the protective housing -1- and on the connection -2- of the fan.
-- Remove the cap -3- over the "+" terminal.
-- Visually inspect and classify the Battery, 48 V -A6-. Refer to Battery, 48 V -A6-, VISUALLY INSPECTING AND CLASSIFYING .
-- Disconnect the connectors -1 and 4-.
-- Remove the nuts and the battery terminal clamps -2 and 5- from the battery terminals.
-- Remove the bolt -2- and move the securing strap -6- to the side.
-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and remove the battery retaining bracket -1-.
-- Pull the battery rearward -5- until the air guide on the air duct -4- is free.
-- Lift the battery out of the luggage compartment. This will pull the pressure equalization hose out of the grommet -3-.
-- Remove the Battery, 48 V -A6- from the protective housing. Refer to PROTECTIVE HOUSING FOR Battery, 48 V -A6-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
