Drive Axle, Removing And Installing: Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:

-- Lightly coat the splines on the outer joint with assembly paste before installing the outer joint into the wheel hub. Refer to the Electronic Parts Information (ETKA).

-- Tighten the threaded connections in the curb weight position. Refer to WHEEL BEARING IN CURB WEIGHT POSITION, LIFTING VEHICLES WITH COIL SPRING .

-- On vehicles with electronic damping, select the "basic setting" program after installation. Refer to ELECTRONIC DAMPING BASIC SETTING .
