-- Remove the sunroof shade. Refer to SUNROOF SHADES, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, Q3 SPORTBACK .

-- Remove the wind deflector. Refer to WIND DEFLECTOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, Q3 SPORTBACK .

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.

-- Lower the headliner and place it on the seats. Refer to OVERVIEW - HEADLINER .

-- Cut through the inner side adhesive bead. Refer to SUNROOF FRAME, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, Q3 SPORTBACK .

-- Lift up the rear sliding and tilting mechanism -3-.

-- Remove the bolt -2-.

-- Remove the tilting lever -1- toward the rear.

-- Release the retainer -3- and remove the outer bracket -4- slightly.

-- Release the retainer -2- and remove the inner bracket -1- slightly.

-- Remove the sliding and tilting mechanism -2- up to dimension -a- toward the rear from the brackets -1- -arrow-.

• Dimension -a- = approximately 24 mm

-- Pivot the glass panel tilting rail -3- upward -arrow- until it is disengaged from the driver -2-.

-- Slide the glass panel tilting rail slightly forward and guide out of the brackets -1-.

-- Push the operating lever -4- slightly toward the inside and upward -arrow-.

-- Remove the sliding and tilting mechanism -5- toward the rear until the outer bracket -1- on the operating lever can be removed.

-- Remove the sliding and tilting mechanism farther toward the rear; this will remove the cables with the driver -2 and 3- from the guides.
