Seat Pan Cover And Padding, Removing And Installing, Sport Seat: Removing
-- Remove the front seat. Refer to FRONT SEAT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Secure the front seat to the Engine/Transmission Holder - Seat Repair Fixture: VAS6136 . Refer to FRONT SEAT, MOUNTING ON FIXTURE FOR SEAT REPAIR .
-- Remove the seat frame trim panel on the tunnel-side. Refer to SEAT FRAME TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, TUNNEL-SIDE .
-- Remove the seat frame trim panel on the side sill side. Refer to SEAT FRAME TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, SIDE SILL SIDE .
-- Equipped on some models: remove the bolts -arrows- and remove the child seat anchor -1- from the front seat.
-- Disconnect the wiring harness connectors for the backrest and free up the disconnected wiring harnesses. Refer to WIRE ROUTING, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .
-- North America versions with passenger occupant detection system: note the information. Refer to SEAT OCCUPANT DETECTION SYSTEM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the backrest. Refer to FRONT BACKREST, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Move seat depth adjuster forward.
-- Equipped on some models: remove the fire extinguisher from the mount.
A3:
-- If equipped, disconnect the connector -2- and free it up.
-- Remove the nuts -1-.
-- Unclip the seat depth adjuster at the tabs -arrows- and remove it upward from the seat pan.
-- Pivot the seat depth adjuster upward and disengage it at the tabs -3- from the seat pan.
Q3
-- Equipped on some models: disconnect the connector -1-.
-- Release the hooks -arrows- with a flat-head screwdriver and fold the cushion with cover toward the rear.
-- Disengage the contour wire on the left and right side from the hooks -A arrows-.
-- Using the Hook Tool: T40207 , disengage the cover clamping strip from the hooks -B arrows-.
Continuation:
-- Disengage the molding -1 and 2- on the cover at the side using the Backrest Panel Tool: 3370 .
-- Disengage the rubber tabs -arrows-.
-- Disengage the cover molding -1- using the Backrest Panel Tool: 3370 .
-- Equipped on some models: free up the seat heating wiring harness at the seat pan. Disconnect the modular wiring routing to do so. Refer to WIRE ROUTING, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .
-- Remove the cover and cushion -1- from the seat pan. Depending on the equipment version, guide the seat heating wiring harness out.
