Rear Seat Backrest, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Move the front seats all the way forward.

-- Remove the luggage compartment liner.

-- Remove the rear bench seat. Refer to BENCH SEAT/SINGLE SEAT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Right backrest on 2+1 seats: remove the rear belt end fitting in the center. Refer to OVERVIEW - CENTER REAR THREE-POINT SEAT BELT .

-- Pull the center bearing cover -1- forward and off of the center bearing in direction of -A and B arrows-.

-- Fold the rear seat backrests forward.

-- If equipped, unclip the rear center bearing cover -1- using a flat-head screwdriver -arrow-.

-- Remove the bolt -2-.

-- Versions with pass-through: open the pass-through door, and fold forward.

-- Fold the rear securing clip -1- in direction of -arrow A-, disengage at the front from the center support -arrow B- and remove.

-- Raise the rear seat backrest slightly.

-- At the same time pry out the inner rear seat backrest -1- from the center support in direction of -arrow A-.

-- Remove the rear seat backrest from the outer bearing toward the center of the vehicle in direction of -arrow B-.

-- Remove the backrest.
