Luggage Compartment Side Trim Panel, Removing And Installing, A5 Coupe: Removing

-- Fold the rear seat backrest forward.

-- Driver side: if installed, remove the power pivoting trailer hitch button. Refer to OVERVIEW - CONTROLS IN LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT .

-- Remove the luggage compartment lamp. Refer to OVERVIEW - LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LAMPS .

-- Remove the tie down. Refer to TIE DOWN, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the remote backrest release and move to the side with the release cable installed. Refer to REMOTE BACKREST RELEASE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, A5 COUPE .

-- Remove the rear luggage compartment floor.

-- Remove the lock carrier trim panel. Refer to LOCK CARRIER TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Unclip the rear lid hinge frame -1- using the : 3409  in direction of -arrows-.

-- Remove the frame from the luggage compartment side trim panel, open the locking element and disengage it from the rear lid hinge.

-- Remove the expanding clips -A arrows- using the : T40172C  .

-- Free up the luggage compartment side trim panel in the area of the rear lid seal.

-- Unclip the luggage compartment side trim panel -1- from the body in direction of -arrow B-.

-- Disengage the luggage compartment side trim panel from the rear lid hinge.

-- Unclip the front luggage compartment side trim -1- from the side trim panel in direction of -arrows-.

-- Remove the luggage compartment side trim under the rear shelf, disengage from the striker for the backrest and remove.
