Luggage Compartment Side Trim Panel, Removing And Installing, A5 Cabriolet: Removing
-- Remove the convertible top compartment side trim panel. Refer to CONVERTIBLE TOP COMPARTMENT SIDE TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Close the convertible top and the convertible top compartment cover.
-- Press the Convertible Top Compartment Enclosure Control Button - E896- to fold the convertible top compartment enclosure upward.
-- Remove the convertible top compartment center trim panel. Refer to CONVERTIBLE TOP COMPARTMENT CENTER TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Front passenger side: disengage the fuel filler door emergency release.
-- Driver side: if installed, remove the power pivoting trailer hitch button. Refer to OVERVIEW - CONTROLS IN LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT .
-- Pull the lever -1- to release the rear seat backrest.
-- Hold the lever pulled and remove the screw -2-.
-- Pry the backrest release out of the luggage compartment side trim panel in direction of -arrow- and let it hang with the release cable.
-- Driver side: remove the Convertible Top Compartment Enclosure Control Button -E896-. Refer to OVERVIEW - CONTROLS IN LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT .
-- Remove the luggage compartment lamp. Refer to OVERVIEW - LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LAMPS .
-- Remove the tie down. Refer to TIE DOWN, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the luggage compartment floor panel. Refer to LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, A5 CABRIOLET .
-- Remove the lock carrier trim panel. Refer to LOCK CARRIER TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the side cushion. Refer to SIDE CUSHION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, A5 CABRIOLET .
-- Remove the expanding clip -arrow- using the : T40172C .
-- Pull out and free up the luggage compartment side trim panel -1- under the rear panel trim panel -2-.
-- Free up the luggage compartment side trim panel in the area of the rear lid seal.
-- Unclip the luggage compartment side trim panel -1- from the body in direction of -A, B and C arrows-.
-- Pull the luggage compartment side trim panel slightly inward.
-- If equipped, disconnect the connector.
-- Unclip the release cable bracket from the luggage compartment side trim panel with a screwdriver and guide out the backrest release.
-- Remove the luggage compartment side trim panel.
