Refrigerant Lines In Plenum Chamber, Removing And Installing: Removing

For all the following work, close the open lines and connections with clean plugs from the Engine Bung Set: VAS6122 .

Removing

-- Switch off the ignition.

-- Discharge the refrigerant circuit. Refer to Refrigerant Circuit (R134a) or Working with A/C Service Station (R1234yf) (1 of 2) or Working with A/C Service Station (R1234yf) (2 of 2) .

-- Remove the plenum chamber cover. Refer to PLENUM CHAMBER COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- To remove the refrigerant line -C- remove the windshield wiper motor. Refer to WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR -V-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Only if necessary (depending on the vehicle), loosen the plenum chamber bulkhead from the vehicle and move to the side (do not remove). Refer to OVERVIEW - BULKHEAD .

-- Remove the nut -D-.

-- Loosen the service connections -B and F- from both refrigerant lines to the expansion valve from the bracket -A- and remove from the inner heat exchanger -E-.

-- Remove the nut -A-.

-- Remove the refrigerant lines -B and C- from the front expansion valve -D-. Refer to REFRIGERANT LINES, DISCONNECTING FROM FRONT EXPANSION VALVE AND RECONNECTING .

-- Remove the refrigerant line -B-.

-- Remove the refrigerant lines -C- toward the left fender (under the brake booster).
