Bolt
- 9 Nm
- Always replace after removing.
Bearing Cap
- Removing and installing. Refer to CAMSHAFT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Note the installation position
Alignment Sleeves
Exhaust Camshaft
- Removing and installing. Refer to CAMSHAFT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Axial play, measuring. Refer to CAMSHAFT, MEASURING AXIAL CLEARANCE .
- Radial play, measuring. Refer to CAMSHAFT, MEASURING RADIAL CLEARANCE .
- Maximum run out: 0.04 mm
Check Valve
- For oil separator
O-Ring
- Always replace after removing.
Seal
- Always replace after removing.
Bolt
- 9 Nm
Plugs
O-Ring
- Always replace after removing.
Camshaft Housing
- Shown for cylinder bank 2 (left)
- Removing and installing. Refer to CAMSHAFT HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Bolt
- Tightening Specifications and Sequence:
  - Cylinder bank 1 (right). Refer to Fig 2.
  - Cylinder bank 2 (left). Refer to Fig 3.
- Always replace after removing.
Plug
- 5 Nm + 90°
- Always replace after removing.
Seal
- Always replace after removing.
Restrictor
- Cylinder bank I 20 Nm
- Cylinder bank II 15 Nm
O-Ring
- Always replace after removing.
Plug
- 25 Nm
Bolt
- 3 Nm + 90°
- Always replace after removing.
Cam Actuator
- Removing and installing. Refer to CAM ACTUATOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
O-Ring
- Not available separately; replace if leaking -item ) Cam Actuator or damaged
- Coat with engine oil
- Check for damage
Plug
- 5 Nm + 90°
- Always replace after removing.
Seal
- Always replace after removing.
Compression Rings
Friction Bearing
- For the intake camshaft
- Removing and installing. Refer to CAMSHAFT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Compression Rings
Axial Bearing
Intake Camshaft
- Removing and installing. Refer to CAMSHAFT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Axial play, measuring. Refer to CAMSHAFT, MEASURING AXIAL CLEARANCE .
- Radial play, measuring. Refer to CAMSHAFT, MEASURING RADIAL CLEARANCE .
- Maximum run out: 0.04 mm

Cylinder Bank 1 (Right) Camshaft Housing - Tightening Specification and Sequence

Replace the bolts that were tightened with an additional turn after removing them.

-- Tighten the bolts in the steps shown in the sequence:

Step	Bolts	Tightening Specification/Additional Turn
1.	-1 to 20-	Install by hand all the way The camshaft housing contact surface must lay entirely on top of the cylinder head
2.	-1 to 20-	8 Nm
3.	-1 to 20-	90° additional turn
