Overview - Cylinder Block, Belt Pulley Side, Belt Drive Generator, 2.9L/3.0L Engine

Ribbed Belt
- Check for wear
- Do not kink
- Ribbed belt routing. Refer to Fig 2.
- Before removing, mark the running direction using chalk or a felt-tip pen.
- Removing and installing. Refer to RIBBED BELT FOR GENERATOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, 3.0L ENGINE .
- When installing, make sure it is seated correctly on the belt pulleys
Bolt
- 25 Nm
Cover
- For the idler roller
Idler Roller
- For the ribbed belt
Bolt
- Tightening specification. Refer to -item 4- OVERVIEW - COOLANT PUMP/COOLANT THERMOSTAT - Bolt .
Bolt
- 8 Nm + 45°
- Always replace after removing.
Tensioner
- For the ribbed belt
- Removing and installing. Refer to RIBBED BELT TENSIONER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Bolt
- Tightening specifications. Refer to OVERVIEW - GENERATOR .
Generator
- Removing and installing. Refer to GENERATOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Bracket
- For the generator
- Removing and installing. Refer to SUB-ASSEMBLY BRACKET, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Bolt
- Tightening Specifications and Sequence. Refer to Fig 3.
Alignment Sleeves
Belt Pulley
- For the coolant pump
Vibration Damper
- Removing and installing. Refer to VIBRATION DAMPER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Bolt
- 150 Nm + 90°
- Always replace after removing.

Replace the bolts that were tightened with an additional turn after removing them.

-- Tighten the bolts in stages as follows:

Step	Bolts	Tightening Specification/Additional Turn
1.	-arrows-	8 Nm diagonally
2.	-arrows-	Turn an additional 90° in a diagonal sequence
