Crankshaft, Removing And Installing: Removing
- Engine secured on the engine and transmission holder. Refer to ENGINE, SECURING TO ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION HOLDER .
-- Remove the pistons. Refer to PISTONS, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the belt pulley side sealing flange. Refer to SEALING FLANGE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, BELT PULLEY SIDE .
-- Remove the lower timing chain cover if it is not already removed. Refer to LOWER TIMING CHAIN COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Press the tensioning rail in direction of -arrow- and secure it with a :T40011 .
-- Remove the bolts -2- and remove the guide rail -1-.
-- Remove the oil pump with the chain sprocket. Refer to OIL PUMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Lock the gear backlash on the gear to do so insert the :T40362 all the way in the gear and turn 180° clockwise -arrow-.
-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and -1 through 8-.
-- Remove the left front plug -arrow-.
-- Position the prepared :T40332 on the affected bearing cap down to the grooves -arrows-, and secure it by turning the threaded pin -1- using the :T10248 on the left and right side until it stops.
-- Tighten the :T10055 on the :T40332 , and remove the bearing cap.
-- Remove the remaining bearing caps and remove the crankshaft.
