Inner CV joints:

Re-grease the joints, if necessary, when replacing the CV joint boots.

1. Circlip
   • Remove and install with standard circlip pliers
2. Gasket
   • Always replace
   • Remove protective backing and install in CV joint
3. CV joint, inner
   • 108 mm (4.2 in.) outer diameter
   • Replace complete CV joint only

   • Lubricating DRIVESHAFT 
4. Boot with cap
   • With vent hole, for CV joint diameters 100 mm (4.0 in.) and 108 mm (4.2 in.)
   • Check for cracks and abrasion
   • Drive off with mandrel
   • Before assembling, seal with -D3- on front side of CV joint
5. Splined shaft
   • Left and right sides have different lengths
6. CV boot
   • Check for cracks and abrasion
7. Boot clip
   • Always replace

8. Circlip
   • Always replace
   • When assembling, install in ball hub ring groove
9. CV joint, outer
   • 98 mm (3.9 in.) outer diameter
   • Replace only complete CV joint
   • Pressing off Fig. 4 Pressing off outer CV joint 
   • Installing: drive joint on at the shaft with plastic hammer, engage up to circlip
