Bonded Rubber Support Bushing Overview
NOTE:
In vehicles before VIN... N 000 001, replacing the bonded rubber bushing is not possible. If replacement is necessary, install complete support.
- Mounting
- Self-locking bolt
- Always replace
- Tighten to 140 Nm (52 ft lb) plus additional 1/2-turn (180°)
- Clean threads in trapezoidal arm with -M14- x 1.5 screw tap to remove adhesive residue
- Tighten only with vehicle standing on wheels
- Washer
- 3 mm thickness
- Convex versionNOTE:
Starting with VIN... N 000 001, only convex washers are installed. When installing new supports with Part No. 4A0 511 329 A and/or 4A0 511 330 A, in vehicles before the above named VIN, always install convex shims instead of the previously installed 3 mm or 6 mm shims.

- 135 Nm (100 ft lb)

- Before tightening, align concentrically with mounting studs, then check toe after installation
