1. Rear Clamping Sleeves
   • Tighten the threaded connections equally to 23 Nm.
   • For individual replacement of center and rear mufflers
   • Installation position. Refer to Fig 3.
   • Before tightening, align the exhaust system without tension. Refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM, INSTALLING WITHOUT TENSION .
2. Bolt
   • Tightening specification. Refer to OVERVIEW - SUBFRAME .
3. Bracket
4. Retaining Loop
   • Replace if damaged
   • Replace the red retaining loop after removing
   • Exhaust System, Installing without Tension. Refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM, INSTALLING WITHOUT TENSION .
5. Bolt
   • 20 Nm
6. Bolt
   • Tightening specification. Refer to OVERVIEW - UNDERBODY TRIM PANELS .
7. Center Muffler
   • Original equipment as one unit with rear mufflers. If a repair is required replace each separately
   • Removing and installing. Refer to MUFFLER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
   • Separating point. Refer to EXHAUST PIPES/MUFFLERS, DISCONNECTING .
   • Exhaust System, Installing without Tension. Refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM, INSTALLING WITHOUT TENSION .
8. Right Front Muffler
   • With the coupling, the coupling must not be bent more than 10° - otherwise it may be damaged
   • Removing and installing. Refer to FRONT MUFFLER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
   • Exhaust System, Installing without Tension. Refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM, INSTALLING WITHOUT TENSION .
9. Gasket
   • Replace after removing.
10. Nut
    • 23 Nm
    • Replace after removing.
    • Coat the threads with hot bolt paste.
11. Bolt
    • 20 Nm
12. Mount
    • Replace if damaged
    • Replace the red mount after removing
    • Check the pretension. Refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM, INSTALLING WITHOUT TENSION .
13. Front Clamping Sleeve
    • Tighten the threaded connections equally to 23 Nm.
    • Installation position. Refer to Fig 2.
    • Pushed onto the front muffler stop
    • Before tightening, align the exhaust system without tension. Refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM, INSTALLING WITHOUT TENSION .
14. Retaining Loop
    • Replace if damaged
    • Replace the red retaining loop after removing
    • Exhaust System, Installing without Tension. Refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM, INSTALLING WITHOUT TENSION .
15. Retaining Loop
    • Replace if damaged
    • Replace the red retaining loop after removing
    • Exhaust System, Installing without Tension. Refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM, INSTALLING WITHOUT TENSION .

    • Replace if damaged
    • Replace the red mount after removing
    • Check the pretension. Refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM, INSTALLING WITHOUT TENSION .
18. Mount
    • Replace if damaged
    • Replace the red mount after removing
    • Check the pretension. Refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM, INSTALLING WITHOUT TENSION .
19. Bolt
    • 20 Nm
20. Rear Muffler
    • Original equipment one unit with the center muffler. If a repair is required replace each separately
    • Removing and installing. Refer to MUFFLER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
    • Separating point. Refer to EXHAUST PIPES/MUFFLERS, DISCONNECTING .
    • Exhaust System, Installing without Tension. Refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM, INSTALLING WITHOUT TENSION .

    • Exhaust System, Installing without Tension. Refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM, INSTALLING WITHOUT TENSION .
23. Bolt
    • Tightening specification. Refer to OVERVIEW - SUBFRAME .

Installation Position of the Front Clamping Sleeves

-- Install the clamping sleeves so that the bolt ends do not project over lower edge of the clamping sleeves.

• Installed position: the threaded connections face outward.
• Angle -α- = 45°.
