Removal And Installation: SUBFRAME: Removing
-- Remove both front wheels
-- Remove sound insulation panel (undertray) Removal and Installation
-- Remove clamping bolt for ball joint pin on both sides (arrow).
-- Disconnect transmission mounts from subframe assembly on both sides (arrow).
NOTE:
On vehicles with 5-cylinder engine, remove protective tube for Generator wire on both sides of subframe assembly.
-- Support subframe assembly with transmission jack, OTC :1785 or equivalent, and secure adequately with strap.
-- Remove mounting bolts on both sides of subframe assembly.
-- Carefully lower transmission jack.
WARNING:
Make sure ball joints separate from wheel bearing housings.
