Removal And Installation: SUBFRAME: Installing
-- Raise subframe assembly with transmission jack.
-- Align ball joints with wheel bearing housings on both sides so that ball joint pins can be connected to housings.
Do not damage ball joint boots when inserting ball joint pins into wheel bearing housings.
-- Install new clamping bolts on both sides.
-- Install new mounting bolts and washers for subframe assembly (do not tighten yet).
-- Raise subframe assembly farther until two nuts can be installed for fastening transmission mounts.
Locating tabs of base plates must engage in recess on subframe assembly.
-- Install new mounting bolts and washers for subframe assembly at front (ribs on washers point toward subframe).
-- Loosen strap from subframe assembly.
-- Lower transmission jack.
-- Tighten subframe assembly, bushing for transmission mount and clamping bolts for ball joint to specified torque.
-- Connect electrical wire tube to subframe assembly.
-- Install sound insulation (undertray).
-- Mount wheels.
-- Remove engine support bridge.
