Removal And Installation: Driveshaft: Removing
-- Remove wheel cover.
On vehicles with alloy wheels, pull cover cap from wheel with Suction Cup:3208 .
Do not loosen the bolt/washer assembly for the wheel hub unless the car is standing on its wheels-risk of accident!
-- Remove wheel hub-to-driveshaft mounting bolt (vehicle standing on wheels).
For vehicles with ABS, pull ABS wheel speed sensor out slightly when removing.
-- Disconnect driveshaft from transmission flange.
-- Press driveshaft upward toward front of vehicle.
-- Turn steering to full lock and remove driveshaft.
Installing
-- Replace gasket (if applicable equipped) on inner CV joint.
-- Install driveshaft in wheel hub.
-- Slide driveshaft into wheel hub to stop.
-- Attach driveshaft to transmission flange.
On vehicles with ABS, press ABS wheel speed sensor into wheel bearing housing to stop.
-- Install new wheel hub-to-driveshaft mounting bolt and tighten to specified torque with vehicle standing on wheels.
