SUBFRAME Assembly
- Subframe
- Remove and install only as complete assembly
- Check and adjust alignment of front wheels only if the two rear subframe bushings were loosened or removed, or if subframe assembly is replaced
- Washer
- Always replace
- Install with ribbed side up
- Bolt
- Always replace
- Drill out damaged inner thread and/or broken off bolts and repair with threaded insert KNM 12 x 1.5 mm
- Tighten to 110 Nm (81 ft lb) plus additional 1/4-turn (90°)
- Base plate with tab
- Always replace
- Tab of base plate must engage in subframe assembly slot
- Bolts
- Always replace
- Tighten to 110 Nm (81 ft lb) plus additional 1/4-turn (90°)
- Before tightening, make sure tabs of base plates engage in slots of subframe assembly
- Self-locking nut
- Always replace
- 40 Nm (30 ft lb)
- Transmission mount
- With support bracket
- Left sidemember
- Self-locking nut
- Always replace
- 65 Nm (48 ft lb)
- Bolt
- Always replace
- Bolt head points toward rear axle
- Subframe mount, rear
- Different versions for left and right sides, and depending on engine type
- After removing and installing, check front wheel alignment
- Align subframe assembly as described below before tightening bolt and washer assembly:
-- Loosely install both mounts with bolt and washer assemblies.
-- Loosely install subframe assembly with four mounting bolts.
-- Align subframe assembly to be concentric with bolt and washer assemblies by sliding sideways in slots on rear subframe mount.
-- Tighten all bolts to specified torque.
-- Align vehicle.

- 40 Nm (30 ft lb) plus additional 1/4-turn (90°)
