Tailgate Handle, Outer
- Removing and installing, refer to TAILGATE HANDLE, OUTER .
- Adjusting, refer to ADJUSTING TAILGATE HANDLE TO LICENSE BRACKET .
Washer
Bolt
- 10 ± 0.5 Nm (0.39 ± 0.020 in. lb.)
Operating Rod, Upper
- Connects tailgate handle ) TAILGATE LOCK ASSEMBLY OVERVIEW to lock cylinder ) TAILGATE LOCK ASSEMBLY OVERVIEW.
  To remove:
  
  -- Disconnect operating rod from articulated bushing ) TAILGATE LOCK ASSEMBLY OVERVIEW at cylinder and handle ) TAILGATE LOCK ASSEMBLY OVERVIEW.
  
  -- Separate operating rod.
  
  To install:
  
  -- Install in reverse order of removal.
  
  To adjust:
  
  -- Tighten lock cylinder ) TAILGATE LOCK ASSEMBLY OVERVIEW with nuts ) TAILGATE LOCK ASSEMBLY OVERVIEW to 4.0 Nm (35 in lb).
  
  -- Put lock release lever into open position.
  
  -- Install guide clip to lever.
  
  -- Lock operating rods together.
Operating Rod, Lower
- Connected to both lower tailgate locks.
  To remove:
  
  -- Disconnect operating rod from articulated bushing ) TAILGATE LOCK ASSEMBLY OVERVIEW at handle ) TAILGATE LOCK ASSEMBLY OVERVIEW and lock ) TAILGATE LOCK ASSEMBLY OVERVIEW.
  
  To install:
  
  -- Install in reverse order of removal.
  
  To adjust:
  
  -- Tighten lock cylinder ) TAILGATE LOCK ASSEMBLY OVERVIEW with nuts ) TAILGATE LOCK ASSEMBLY OVERVIEW to 4.0 Nm (35 in lb).
  
  -- Connect operating rods ) TAILGATE LOCK ASSEMBLY OVERVIEW with articulated bushing ) TAILGATE LOCK ASSEMBLY OVERVIEW of actuating lever on locks ) TAILGATE LOCK ASSEMBLY OVERVIEW.
  
  -- Lock operating rods through coupling. Refer to OPERATING RODS .

- 8.0 Nm (71 in lb)
Lock Cylinder
- Removing and installing, refer to TAILGATE LOCKS .
Lock Nut
- 4.0 Nm (35 in lb)
