Axle Alignment Procedure, AUDI Q7

-- Start the selected program and follow the instructions on the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester display.

The Following Sequence of Procedure Steps Must Be Observed.

1. Drive the Vehicle "Straight" onto the Alignment Rack. Switch off the Ignition Only When the Vehicle Has Come to a Stop.
2. Check the Rear Axle Steering Gear Orientation. Refer to REAR AXLE STEERING GEAR ORIENTATION, CHECKING .
3. Perform Wheel Run-Out Compensation. Refer to WHEEL RUN-OUT COMPENSATION .
4. Check the Maximum Steering Angle. Refer to MAXIMUM STEERING ANGLE, CHECKING .
5. Even out the Steering Wheel Scales: VAS6458A  on the steering wheel as close to 0° as possible.
6. Check the Rear Axle Camber and Adjust If Necessary. Refer to REAR AXLE CAMBER, ADJUSTING .
7. Check Rear Axle Toe and Adjust If Necessary. Refer to REAR AXLE TOE, ADJUSTING .
8. Check Front Axle Camber and Adjust If Necessary. Refer to FRONT AXLE CAMBER, CENTERING .
9. Check the Front Axle Toe and Adjust If Necessary. Refer to FRONT AXLE TOE, ADJUSTING .

When the adjustment on the suspension is changed:

• Calibrate the Steering Angle Sensor -G85-. Refer to Steering Angle Sensor -G85- BASIC SETTING .

If the adjustment on the rear axle was changed:

• Adjust the adaptive cruise control. Refer to ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL (ACC), ADJUSTING .
• Driver Assistance Systems Front Camera, Calibrating. Refer to DRIVER ASSISTANCE SYSTEMS FRONT CAMERA, CALIBRATING .
• Infrared System, Calibrating. Refer to INFRARED SYSTEM, CALIBRATING .
• Calibrate the rearview camera system. Refer to REARVIEW CAMERA SYSTEM, CALIBRATING .
