Component Location Overview - Components In Front Vehicle Interior
WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2024 Audi SQ5, 2024 Audi Q5 e, 2024 Audi Q5, 2023 Audi SQ5, and 2023 Audi Q5 e. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- On vehicles without an A/C system (only with a heater) the layout, function as well as the removal and installation of the components needed for operation of the heater (for example the heat exchanger, heater core, adjustment motors, temperature sensor etc.) is the same on vehicles with a "Low" A/C system.
- The heater on a vehicle without an A/C system is the same as the heater and A/C unit on vehicles with a "Low" A/C system. The evaporator installed in the heater is without function, here it functions only as a place holder and to reduce noise. Refer to the Parts Information.
- The display control head for the Front A/C Display Control Head -E87- -A- largely correspond to those for Front A/C Display Control Head -E87- for vehicles with a "Low" A/C system (the removing and installing for example is the same). Certain functions and control elements are related to the A/C system but are not present (for example missing A/C and A/C MAX buttons as well as the printed scale for the temperature setting). Refer to DISPLAY CONTROL HEAD and the Parts Information.
- For the display control head for the heater -A- in the repair information, in the Guided Fault Finding and in the wiring diagram the same designation is used as for the A/C system Front A/C Display Control Head -E87-. Use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in the "Guided Fault Finding" function and refer to the appropriate Wiring Diagram.
