Heat Pump Valve Unit, Disassembling and Assembling

  1. Wiring Harness Bracket
  2. Valve Unit Wiring Harness
    • Label the routing before removal
    • Make sure the connectors are assigned correctly to the valves. Refer to Connection Diagram Wiring Harness on the Valve Unit .
    • The valve unit valves are currently identical in construction. They are assigned through the connector assignment for the wiring harness connectors and are activated accordingly by the Thermal Management Control Module -J1024-. Refer to the appropriate Wiring Diagram.
  3. Refrigerant Shut-Off Valve 2 -N640-
    • Mark before removal for allocation later
    • The valve unit valves are currently identical in construction. They are assigned through the connector assignment for the wiring harness connectors and are activated accordingly by the Thermal Management Control Module -J1024-. Refer to the appropriate Wiring Diagram.
  4. Bolt
    • 9 Nm
  5. Outer Connection Block
  6. Seal
    • Replace after removing. Refer to the appropriate Parts Information for the version.
  7. Plug
    • 22 Nm
    • Replace after removing. Refer to the appropriate Parts Information for the version.
  8. Alignment Pin with Threads
    • 4 Nm
    • Check for the correct installation position
  9. O-Ring
    • Replace after removing; version. Refer to SEALS AND GASKETS and the Parts Information.
    • Lubricate lightly with refrigerant oil before installing
  10. O-Ring
    • Replace after removing; version. Refer to SEALS AND GASKETS and the Parts Information.
    • Lubricate lightly with refrigerant oil before installing
  11. Bolt
    • 9 Nm
  12. Refrigerant Shut-Off Valve 4 -N642-
    • Mark before removal for allocation later
    • The valve unit valves are currently identical in construction. They are assigned through the connector assignment for the wiring harness connectors and are activated accordingly by the Thermal Management Control Module -J1024-. Refer to the appropriate Wiring Diagram.
  13. Inner Connection Block
  14. Refrigerant Shut-Off Valve 5 -N643-
    • Mark before removal for allocation later
    • The valve unit valves are currently identical in construction. They are assigned through the connector assignment for the wiring harness connectors and are activated accordingly by the Thermal Management Control Module -J1024-. Refer to the appropriate Wiring Diagram.
  15. Refrigerant Shut-Off Valve 3 -N641-
    • Mark before removal for allocation later
    • The valve unit valves are currently identical in construction. They are assigned through the connector assignment for the wiring harness connectors and are activated accordingly by the Thermal Management Control Module -J1024-. Refer to the appropriate Wiring Diagram.
