Torsion Damper, Removing And Installing: Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:

-- Thoroughly clean the seal -arrow B- and the transmission housing in the accessible area to the differential -arrow A-.

A damaged seal between the differential and transmission housing -arrow B- must be replaced. Refer to COMPONENT LOCATION OVERVIEW - SEALS .

-- Fill the area between the sealing/dust lip -arrow- halfway with Sealing Grease:G 052 128 A1 .

-- Coat the input shaft -arrow- thinly with Grease for Clutch Plate Splines: G 000 100 .

-- Slide on the harmonic balancer -1- with the Puller - Clutch Module:T40176 carefully and without tilting all the way on the input shaft.

-- Remove the Puller - Clutch Module:T40176 from the harmonic balancer

-- Install the left flange shaft. Refer to LEFT FLANGE SHAFT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
