Oil Spray Jets, Removing And Installing

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

• Torx Bit - T40: T10545

Removing Cylinder "1 to 3" : 

• Transmission removed. Refer to the appropriate Transmission Information .

-- Remove the oil pan upper section. Refer to OIL PAN UPPER SECTION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Turn the crankshaft with the : T40263  , : T40314  and the 24 mm socket in direction of -arrow- until the corresponding bolt is accessible.

-- Turn the crankshaft with the : T40263  , : T40314  and the 24 mm socket in direction of -arrow- until the corresponding bolt is accessible.

• The engine is removed and secured to the engine/transmission holder. Refer to ENGINE, SECURING TO ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION HOLDER .

-- Remove the oil pan upper section. Refer to OIL PAN UPPER SECTION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the balance shaft timing chain. Refer to CAMSHAFT TIMING CHAIN, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the connecting rod bearing cap.

-- Remove the crankshaft bearing cap.

-- Remove the crankshaft.

Continued for All Cylinders: 

-- Remove the pressure relief valve -1- using the : T10545  .

-- Remove the oil spray jet -2-.

Installing 

Install in reverse order of removal and note the following:

• Installation position. Refer to Figure.

-- Install the balance shaft timing chain. Refer to CAMSHAFT TIMING CHAIN, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Install the oil pan upper section. Refer to OIL PAN UPPER SECTION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

Tightening Specifications 

• Refer to OVERVIEW - PISTONS AND CONNECTING ROD 
• Refer to OVERVIEW - CRANKSHAFT
