Camshaft Timing Chain, Removing From Camshafts, Cylinder Bank 2 (Left): Removing

-- Remove the air filter housing. Refer to AIR FILTER HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the lock carrier cover. Refer to OVERVIEW - BUMPER COVER .

-- Remove the reinforcement brace. Refer to OVERVIEW - LOCK CARRIER .

-- Release the left and right catches in direction of -arrows- and remove the retaining pin -1- for the radiator upward.

-- Carefully push the radiator module as far forward as possible and secure using suitable service equipment.

-- Remove the front noise insulation. Refer to NOISE INSULATION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the left upper pressure pipe. Refer to UPPER PRESSURE PIPE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.

-- Unclip and free up the vacuum line -2- on the wiring duct -3-.

-- Push the wiring duct -3- forward.

-- Remove the bolt -3- and move the bracket to the side.

-- Remove the screw -2- and remove the oil dipstick tube.

-- Always seal off any openings with plugs that are thoroughly cleaned from the Engine Bung Set: VAS6122  .

-- Disconnect the connectors.
