Passenger Side Airbag, Airbag III: Removing
-- Disconnect single-pin airbag power supply connector. Refer to Airbag Power Supply Connector .
-- Remove glove compartment. Refer to GLOVE COMPARTMENT .
-- Loosen hex nuts -6- and remove airbag mounting plate -5-.
- Tightening torque: 6 Nm (53 in lb)
-- Loosen hex bolt -4-.
- Tightening torque: 5 Nm (11 ft lb)
-- Disconnect electrical connector -8- and remove airbag -3-.
CAUTION:
- Connection -7- (2 pin, red), on the airbag unit must NEVER be disconnected.
- If connection -7- is loose, replace the airbag unit.
- Always replace the airbag with front side up.
-- Loosen hex bolts -2- and remove mounting bracket -1-.
- Tightening torque: 15 Nm (11 ft lb)
