Cam Actuator, Removing And Installing

Cylinder Bank 1 (Right) Cam Actuator, Removing

-- Remove the air filter housing. Refer to AIR FILTER HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

Additional procedures. Refer to CAM ACTUATOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

Cylinder Bank 2 (Left) Cam Actuator, Removing

-- Remove the Engine Control Module -J623- from the bracket and move to the side. Refer to Engine Control Module -J623-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Disconnect the connector -1-.

-- Pry up the clamp -4- and remove the coolant line.

-- Remove the bolts -2 and 3-.

-- Release the catch in direction of -arrow- and tie up the coolant expansion tank to the left side.

-- Loosen the hose clamp -1- and remove the air duct pipe and tie up to the left side.

-- Free up the coolant hose on the clip -2-.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and remove the coolant expansion tank bracket -1-.

Additional procedures. Refer to CAM ACTUATOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

Installing 

Additional procedures:

-- Install the air filter housing. Refer to AIR FILTER HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Install the Engine Control Module -J623-. Refer to OVERVIEW - ENGINE CONTROL MODULE .

-- Connect the coolant line with the connector coupling. Refer to Fig 1.

-- Check the coolant level and fill if necessary. Refer to Coolant Level, Checking .
