Brake Pedal, Removing And Installing, Vehicles With Manual Transmission: Installing

NOTE:

Clean the bolts and nuts before reusing.

Replace the damaged bolts and nuts. Refer to the Parts Information.

Replace the self-locking bolts and nuts. Refer to the Parts Information.

Tightening specifications. Refer to OVERVIEW - BRAKE PEDAL .

-- Slide the right retainer onto the pins.

NOTE:

Do not grease or oil the bearing pin.

The bearing pin must be dry.

-- Slide the bearing pin from right to left through the axle in the brake pedal.

-- Secure the bearing pin with the left retainer -1-.

The bearing pin must be secured with the retainers on both sides.

-- Install and tighten the bolt -3-.

-- Install mounting bracket. Refer to MOUNTING BRACKET, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, VEHICLES WITH MANUAL TRANSMISSION .

-- BRAKE PEDAL, ATTACHING TO BRAKE BOOSTER .

WARNING:

Make sure the brakes are working correctly before driving the vehicle for the first time.
