Refrigerant Lines With Inner Heat EXCHANGER, Removing And Installing: Installing
Install in reverse order of removal and Note The Following:
-- Check the grommet -D- of the pass-through for damage and correct seating in the opening on the body (check the catches -E-).
-- Replace all O-ring seals (-J and K- in this illustration) there are different versions.
-- Insert both refrigerant lines to the expansion valve -D and E- after installing the inner heat exchanger -C- in the bracket -B-.
Coat the O-ring seals lightly with refrigerant oil prior to installation. Refer to REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT SEALS .
Note the different tightening specifications of bolts and nuts.
Install the refrigerant lines so that they are without tension.
-- Replace all O-ring seals (-F and G- in this illustration) there are different versions.
-- Insert both refrigerant lines -B and C- after installing on the inner heat exchanger -E- in the bracket -D-.
Install the refrigerant lines so that they are without tension.
-- Install the bolts -A-. Refer to OVERVIEW - A/C COMPRESSOR, CONDENSER AND UNDER FENDER for the tightening specification.
-- Check the routing of the refrigerant lines after attachment. They must be inserted in the provided brackets in a tension-free manner and must not come in contact with other components.
-- Reinstall the removed components in the reverse order and reattach detached components.
-- Evacuate and fill the refrigerant circuit. Refer to REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT, EVACUATING WITH A/C SERVICE STATION [R134a] /REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT, CHARGING WITH A/C SERVICE STATION [R134a] or REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT, EVACUATING [R1234yf] / REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT, CHARGING [R1234yf] .
-- Retrieve the Front A/C Display Control Head -E87- DTC memory and if necessary delete the displayed error using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in the "Guided Fault Finding" function.
-- Operate the A/C system after charging the refrigerant circuit. Refer to A/C SYSTEM, STARTING AFTER CHARGING REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT .
Read the information for starting the A/C system after filling. Refer to A/C SYSTEM, STARTING AFTER CHARGING REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT / A/C SYSTEM, OPERATING AFTER CHARGING [R1234yf] or A/C SYSTEM, OPERATING AFTER CHARGING [R1234yf] .
