Overview - A/C Compressor, Condenser And Under Fender

CAUTION:

Danger due to refrigerant coming out under pressure.

Danger of frost bite to skin and other parts of the body.

  • Only loosen the connection point bolts when the refrigerant circuit is empty.

  1. Condenser (with Receiver/Dryer)
  2. Receiver/Dryer with Dryer
  3. Alignment Sleeve
  4. A/C Compressor
    • Overview. Refer to OVERVIEW - A/C COMPRESSOR POWER UNIT .
    • There are different versions depending on the refrigerant (R134a or R1234yf).
      NOTE:

      This illustration shows the installation position on a vehicle with a 6-cylinder engine.

  5. Bolt
  6. O-ring
    • To replace. Refer to REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT SEALS and to the Parts Information for the correct version.
    • Lubricate lightly with refrigerant oil before installing
  7. Bolt
    • Tightening specification of bolts with a "M6" thread 9 Nm.
    • Tightening specification of bolts with a "M8" thread 20 Nm.
    • Depending on the version of the condenser the bolts -7 and 12- can be connected to one another, the tightening specifications do not change from this
  8. Bolt
    • Tightening specification of bolts with a "M6" thread 9 Nm.
    • Tightening specification of bolts with a "M8" thread 20 Nm.
  9. O-ring
    • To replace. Refer to REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT SEALS and to the Parts Information for the correct version.
    • Lubricate lightly with refrigerant oil before installing
  10. High Pressure Side Refrigerant Line
  11. O-ring
    • To replace. Refer to REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT SEALS and to the Parts Information for the correct version.
    • Lubricate lightly with refrigerant oil before installing
  12. Bolt
    • Tightening specification of bolts with a "M6" thread 9 Nm.
    • Tightening specification of bolts with a "M8" thread 20 Nm.
    • Depending on the version of the condenser the bolts -7 and 12- can be connected to one another, the tightening specifications do not change from this
  13. High Pressure Side Refrigerant Line

    • To replace. Refer to REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT SEALS and to the Parts Information for the correct version.
    • Lubricate lightly with refrigerant oil before installing
  15. Bolt
    • Tightening specification of bolts with a "M6" thread 9 Nm.
    • Tightening specification of bolts with a "M8" thread 20 Nm.
  16. Low Pressure Side Refrigerant Line
  17. Bolt
    • Tightening specification of bolts with a "M6" thread 9 Nm.
  18. Bolt
    • Tightening specification of bolts with a "M6" thread 9 Nm.
  19. O-ring
    • To replace. Refer to REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT SEALS and to the Parts Information for the correct version.
    • Lubricate lightly with refrigerant oil before installing
  20. O-ring
    • To replace. Refer to REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT SEALS and to the Parts Information for the correct version.
    • Lubricate lightly with refrigerant oil before installing
  21. Inner Heat Exchanger Bracket
    • There are different versions.
  22. Bolt
    NOTE:

    Different versions and tightening specifications

    • Tightening specification of bolts with a "M3" thread 3 Nm.
  23. Bracket
    • There are different versions.
    • Not always present
  24. Refrigerant Line with Inner Heat Exchanger
  25. Bracket

  26. Connection with Valve
