NOTE:

On Audi Q2 with automatic climate control system the sunlight photo sensor with the Humidity Sensor -G355- /Rain/Light Recognition Sensor - G397- /Sunlight Photo Sensor -G107- are one component (depending on the equipment version). Refer to the appropriate Wiring Diagram.

On the Audi A3 the Humidity Sensor -G355- / Rain/Light Recognition Sensor -G397- is installed on automatic A/C systems (depending on the equipment version).

The Humidity Sensor -G355- and Sunlight Photo Sensor -G107- is only installed on vehicles with a Climatronic Control Module -J255- (with automatically regulated A/C system).

If there is no Humidity Sensor -G355- and Sunlight Photo Sensor - G107- installed on vehicles with a A/C Control Module -J301-, a permissible stop time is currently calculated by characteristic curves which are influenced by the measured outside air temperature, the "recirculating air mode" function and operating status of the windshield wipers. The calculated time must be greater than 20 seconds so that the stop function is permitted by the A/C Control Module -J301-. The stop time can be shortened at a lower exterior temperature, when the recirculating air mode is active and/or when it is raining to prevent the windshield and door windows from fogging up. If the calculated time for the Stop function is less than approximately 20 seconds, it is prevented.

The Humidity Sensor -G355- is integrated in the Rain/Light Recognition Sensor -G397- and cannot be replaced separately when faulty. Refer to the Parts Information.

The removal of the Rain/Light Recognition Sensor -G397- (with the Humidity Sensor -G355-) depending on the vehicle is described is different assembly groups.

-- Replacing the Rain/Light Recognition Sensor -G397- (with Humidity Sensor -G355-). Refer to OVERVIEW - WINDSHIELD or Windshield Wiper System .
