Brake Rotor, Removing And Installing, 1LK/1LH TTS: Installing

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.

Install in reverse order of removal and note the following:

NOTE:

Clean bolts before reusing.

Replace damaged bolts.

Always replace self-locking bolts.

-- Before reusing brake rotors check for wear and damage.

WARNING:

If a brake rotor is damaged or worn, check the other brake rotors for damage and wear.

-- Thoroughly clean the brake rotor and hub contact surfaces and free them of corrosion.

-- Place the brake rotor on the wheel hub.

NOTE:

Do not tilt the brake rotor when mounting it on the wheel hub.

-- Tighten the bolt -arrow- to 5 Nm.

-- Install the corresponding brake caliper. Refer to BRAKE CALIPER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, 1LK/1LH TTS .

WARNING:

After installing the brake caliper check that the spring and brake pads for correct seating. Refer to BRAKE PAD RETAINING PLATE .

WARNING:

Risk of accident!

  • With the vehicle stationary, firmly press the brake pedal several times so that the brake pads in the operating condition properly set in their respective position.
  • Make sure the brakes are working correctly before driving the vehicle for the first time.
